Shelia's Special Fruit Salad

1 large can pineapple chunks or bits

1 can pineapple juice from above

2 small cans mandarin oranges

3 bananas, sliced in 1” pieces

1 small package vanilla pudding-NOT INSTANT

1/4 cup marachino cherry halves

 

Drain fruits thoroughly. Prepare pudding according to directions, using only 1 cup of pineapple juice (no milk). Pour over drained fruit while hot. Refrigerate until cold. Add banana slices and mix before serving.

 

Chef's Note: Don't forget to allow time to refrigerate this dish well in advance of serving like someone I know who shall remain nameless.
